Marina Avakian

Ms. Marina Avakian is an international expert  with 25 years of experience in holistic education,  early education, education for sustainable  development, and strategic education planning.  She has authored books and articles on holistic  education,  prenatal  and  early  child  development. She served as an education expert  in the Public Council on Demographic Policy of  the Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk Region,  Russia.  
As a creator and co-creator of several projects,  programs, and concepts of a new education  model, the Education System for Sustainable  Development (ESSD), Ms. Marina's education  initiative earned accreditation from the UN  Commission on Sustainable Development. It was  presented at various UN conferences and forums  on sustainable development.   
Since 2006, Marina has conducted many  seminars, workshops, and teacher training  programs on the new education model and  innovative approaches in India under the  International Holistic Teacher Training Program.  Since 2007, Marina has been associated with the  Anand Niketan Group of Schools (India),  designing the curriculum, and conducting  teacher training and parenting workshops.
